NOVEMBER 2017: Dr. Daniels Utilizes Sensor-Assisted Total Knee Replacement for Optimum Results.
Dr. John Daniels now utilizes a disposable sensor device called VERASENSE during total knee replacement surgery. This technology helps Dr. Daniels by providing real-time data during surgery that allows him to make important decisions to better balance the patients knee and customize the implant position. Without this system surgeons use their best judgement to “feel” whether of not the knee is balanced during knee replacement. Now, using the VERASENSE technology, Dr. Daniels has the data that quantifies soft tissue balance and allows him to improve knee balance more consistently from patient to patient. VERASENSE may be used in both primary and revision total knee replacement.
When compared to patients who underwent traditional total knee replacement, VERASENSE patients have experienced:
-
Less Pain
- Quicker return to normal activity
- Improved knee function
- Improved patient satisfaction
