Stephanie Leverentz, PA-C
I was born and raised in the northwest suburbs of Illinois. I have always had an interest in the human body, which is why I’ve dedicated my education to this field. After high school, I pursued my undergraduate education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where I graduated with dual degrees; one in Kinesiology, and one in Food Science and Human Nutrition. Throughout college, I was also on a pre-med track, where I discovered the Physician Assistant career path.
Choosing this path gave me the opportunity to be a medical provider, but also offered more flexibility and work-life balance. I always knew I wanted to be a mother, and being a PA allows me to have quality the time I wanted with my husband and children. I completed my physician assistant training at South College in Knoxville, Tennessee.
I believe in a whole-body approach when it comes to medicine, and I think it’s very important to listen to everything going on that can be a source of the patient’s problems. Patients take time out of their busy days for help with their issue, and with my educational background, I want to make sure that patients are truly heard, and we find an effective long-term solution.
