I began working at OSF HealthCare in 2017 in the orthopedic department and continue to do so today as an OrthoIllinois provider. I enjoy working with people who have orthopedic needs such as total joint replacements. Helping someone in so much pain receive a new joint is incredibly rewarding.
During an appointment, I want my patients to be open and honest and connect with me and know that I am here to help them and answer their questions. I want my patients to feel comfortable and know they can reach out if they have any concerns.
I knew from a young age that I would pursue a career in medicine. My mom is a nurse and would bring me to work with her to help the activity staff interact with patients. I enjoyed listening to the patients, and it became a part of who I am and my understanding of the importance of helping others.
I grew up in Streator, and although I went away for college, I returned to my hometown. The people are kind and caring and appreciate the little things that a provider can offer. I like being involved with local school sports and helping the athletes in my community. In my free time, I enjoy reading good books and spending time with my husband.
