Core services contribute to bright future for Ortho Illinois
At OrthoIllinois, we are excited about the future of health care.
Our team of skilled surgeons, physicians, and clinical support staff work every day to provide patients a higher standard of care centered on returning individuals to more pain-free and active lifestyles.
Founded in 1967, OrthoIllinois is recognized as one of the largest and leading bone and joint providers in Northern Illinois, with 6 clinic locations in Rockford, Crystal Lake, Huntley, Elgin, and a new clinic in Algonquin opening later this year.
OrthoIllinois is well-positioned for the future for many reasons. At that core is our highly-trained physician group, comprised of 37 surgeons and medical doctors with exceptional training and experience who subspecialize in pediatrics, total joint replacement, sports medicine, shoulders, hands and elbows, foot and ankle, the spine and more.
Our team of more than 450 employees includes physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and physical therapists all under one roof, contributing to the convenience patients can expect of one-stop diagnosis, clinical care, X-ray, MRI, casting, rehabilitation therapy, and Injury Express Walk-In Clinic.
We specialize in delivering quality, highly specialized and cost-effective care. Unlike larger health systems, OrthoIllinois is more streamlined and can react faster to monitoring day-to-day activities and responding to patient care and satisfaction.
Many aspects of the organization contribute to our nimbler nature. One is our ability to offer dozens of surgical procedures – including total joint replacements for those patients who qualify – to be performed at our outpatient surgery centers. Outpatient surgeries produce great results because we are able to get people home faster and help them return to their normal lives sooner. Our surgery centers also help patients avoid more costly overnight or longer hospital stays.
Our state-of-the-art technology has allowed us to do more procedures in our surgery centers than ever before. We were one of the first orthopedic clinics in the state to do outpatient total joint replacements over two years ago; today, we do several of those procedures each day.
As our volume grew, we have increased operating and recovery room space that allows us to treat patients with more complex injuries while still delivering high quality and cost-effective care.
When I look to the future, I am confident OrthoIllinois is well-positioned for continued expansion of clinic locations, physician subspecialties, and service offerings, including additional walk-in injury care clinics open seven days a week. I look forward to updating you more on some of these exciting initiatives in the weeks to come.
