I grew up about 45 mins west of the Elgin in Rockford, Illinois. My experiences with medical care and sports played a pivotal role in shaping my decision to pursue a career as an orthopedic physician assistant. Growing up, I was frequently involved in athletics, which led to injuries that required medical attention. Through these experiences, I developed an appreciation for the role healthcare professionals played in not only treating injuries but also helping individuals return to their active lives. I also had the opportunity to witness the collaborative nature of healthcare teams, with physician assistants being integral in providing care and guidance in my treatments.

This inspired me to pursue a career in medicine, where I could return the favor and make a tangible difference in patients’ lives by delivering compassionate care and getting people back to doing the things that they love.  I earned my bachelor’s degree in biology at Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin and completed my Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Southern Illinois University

My philosophy regarding patient care is centered as a patient-first approach that emphasizes both the physical and emotional well-being of each patient. I believe that orthopedic care is not just about treating injuries or conditions, but about empowering patients to regain their mobility, independence, and quality of life. Every patient deserves the time to talk about their treatment goals, whether that’s returning to sports, managing chronic pain, or simply improving daily function. By combining evidence-based treatment with open communication, I aim to provide a tailored care plan that promotes long-term health and recovery. Collaboration with other healthcare providers, as well as patient education, is key to ensuring the best outcomes and supporting patients throughout their healing journey.
