Michael Weedman, PA-C
I am originally from O’Fallon, Missouri. My interest in medicine began at an early age when I had multiple family members that were in the healthcare field. Hearing stories about their passion for healthcare and how they were able to create a positive impact within their patients’ lives, was very influential and led me to pursue a career as an advanced practitioner.
I earned my B.S. degree in exercise science at the McKendree University in 2020. Following my graduation, I earned my Masters in Physician Assistant studies at Southern Illinois Carbondale in 2023.
My approach to patient care revolves around the belief that the patient is the focal point of care. This means understanding each patient as a unique individual with specific physical and emotional needs. Being able to educate patients and their families on their diagnosis, treatment options, and expected outcomes is also a vital part of my job. To do this well, communication and being an active listener is also important to me in patient care.
